You've waited all year, and now it's here - Read an EBook Week!

Ok, maybe you haven't been waiting all year. But if not, why not?  Ebooks are great!  I'll admit, I was a skeptic, too, but they won me over. AND, I don't even have an e-reader. If I ever get one, though, I'm afraid my book store days will be over, except for rare occasions. That's a little sad, but there you have it.  You just can't beat the convenience, the price (well, with indies and the small pubs, at least), not to mention being able to carry your whole library with you at any time.

So, in honor of "Unmasked" now being up on Amazon Kindle (soon to be out in Barnes & Noble's Nook), and National Read an Ebook Week starting today, I put up a slideshow of some of my friends' ebooks, as well as just a few others that I've enjoyed - all with helpful links to take you to their pages on Amazon.

Try one!  Any one!  I'd love to hear about your experience with them.

  1. Hey, sounds like a great idea! You can read an e-book on almost any device now from a laptop to an iPhone.

  3. SMOOCH! Thanks for putting up Dragon Blues! I heart you!

I hope you get an e-reader too. It's so convenient to read on one. I don't even take out a lot of books from the library anymore.

  4. Cool. Unmasked just showed up on my Kindle. It's all magic like! Looking forward to it. And thanks for putting me on your carousel as well!

  5. I heart you, too, Edie! :)

I've been reading ebooks on my computer and Alphasmart for about 5 years now, and even download ebooks from the library. I think it's time I moved up to a dedicated reader. :)

  6. Thanks, Charles, and you're welcome as well.
Now, I know you don't read erotica, so I have to warn you that this one is a bit over the top (more so than Managing Maggie). If you want a refund, just let me know. lol

And you know, "all magic like" is a good way of putting it. It is rather magical just to think, "Oh, I'd like to read that", and Poof! It's there in your hot little hands a second later.

Edie -- I'm in love with your cover!

  9. Since I got my Kindle last August, I've averaged just about a book a week. This year I'm looking to read more from some of the writers I've come to know on the internet.

  10. Hey Kate. First off, love reading e-books. Got a Nook for my B-Day last year and have read I don't know how many books on it since then. Hubby will never again know how many books I buy. LOL.

On another note ... pleae contact me at liz@lizkreger.com. I selected you as the winner of the anthology I was giving away yesterday on MM. Congrats.

  11. Congrats on the Kindle, Travis. I'm envious. :)

Yay, Liz! Nice to see you here, and I'm stoked about the anthology - thanks! (Don't know if you noticed I've got your book in the slideshow too. And it was there before I won, lol)

Yes, that is another perk of the e-reader - no one needs to know what, or how many, books you buy. ;)

  14. Your covers are beautiful! I think I need to get a Kindle or Nook, or any e-reader would be nice. I keep seeing so many books I'd like to get my hands on.

I love reading erotica, so I can't wait to read this.

  16. Thanks, Christina - it's good to see you here! :) As soon as I have a spare dime, I want to get a dedicated e-reader too. :) For now, I'm reading them on my computer, and Alphasmart.

Hi, Rick! Thanks for stopping by. :) If you get a Kindle now, let me know how you like it, and I'll tell Amazon they owe me for free advertising! :) (In fact, they do - I make no money off the referrals in the slideshow above since Amazon won't work with people living in Illinois now)
