Happy Halloween!

For a funny, yet creepy free tale, check out Zombie High from Delightful Chaos.
To continue the spirit, this week on Magical Musings, they are exploring what scares us - from the dreadful doubt monsters to superstitions; and Edie Ramer also has an interesting thread on "supernatural" events on her blog. Enjoy!

  2. You're welcome - have fun tonight!

I figure I'd better get in my blog/myspace/newsgroup/email/etc. reading tonight since NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow -- I'll be be somewhat MIA for the next month. :)

  3. Happy belated Halloween, Kate! Thanks for mentioning my blog and MM. I finished the first draft of my wip yesterday, so I'm taking it easy today. I see you're in NaNo and are probably writing like crazy. :)

  4. Hi Edie - congratulations on finishing your draft! :)

I'm currently trying to update my word count on Nano right now, but their servers are really slow, so I thought I'd take a moment to check in here. :) I stopped at 2152 words today, so I can take a short break. I'm actually still in the mood to write since I left off at a crucial & fun scene, but decided to stop there so I would still have some energy around it tomorrow.

By the way, how did your BIAW go?

  5. Kate, thank you for mentioning my blog and short story. Hope you enjoyed Zombie High. It was kind of an off the cuff thing. Pass the salt, eh? LOL

Hope to post more there after NaNo - good luck with NaNo by the way. I am off to contemplate pirates! Research! Research... my excuse and I'm sticking to it ;o)

  6. Yes, NaNo servers are real slow... I tought it was just me (you know, the new IE 7 thing), but it's been that way since yesterday. Hope they get that fixed soon as it is really awfult o update your word count as it is right now.

Anyhoo, good luck with NaNo! You did better than I did - I only got to 2032 on the piece I finally decided to go with (got another 1000 on the piece I abandoned for later development ... doh!)

Still that was a good start... it was just this fellow jumped in and captured my attention. What's a girl to do?

  7. Ugh - I know what you mean, Chaos. I did write a bit on another piece, then decided to go back to the original one. However, I figure it was still time well spent, since the other piece was one that already has about 9k finished. I hope to finish it in the next few months.

  8. My BIAW went fine. I was at the tail end of my book and I zipped through. It was a high finishing it.

I'm going to check out your live cam.
